Who has the best fixtures?

Over gameweeks 8–13 the kindest runs belong to Coventry City (2.50), Ipswich Town (2.67), Spurs (2.67). The toughest belong to Newcastle (3.50), Man Utd (3.33), Liverpool (3.33). Players from the first group are worth a look for transfers now; owners of players from the second may want to bench them or move them on before the run starts.

The fixture difficulty rating (FDR) is the official FPL score for each match, from 1 (easiest) to 5 (hardest), set by the strength of the opponent and whether the game is at home. It is a blunt tool: it does not know about injuries, form or a manager change, so a team rated 4 can be beatable in a bad spell. Use it to spot long runs of easy or hard games rather than to judge a single match.

Fixtures matter most for defenders and goalkeepers, because clean sheets depend on the opponent far more than goals do. For premium attackers, form and minutes usually outweigh one hard fixture. Check thePremier League table for each side's recent expected goals, or browse thebest picks to find players from the teams at the top of this list.
