2026/27 · Updated 22 October 2026

How to use this list
Expected goal involvement measures the quality of the chances a player gets or creates, whether or not they went in. Over a season goals and assists drift towards it, so it is the best early signal of who to buy before the points arrive. As a rough guide, 0.45 per 90 or more is a strong attacking threat for midfielders.
Compare the xGI/90 column with G+A. A player near the top with few returns is under-performing and often worth buying; one with far more returns than expected is finishing hot and more likely to cool. Per-90 figures flatter players who come off the bench, so check minutes too.
